The fourth time he felt pain in his stomach, the Firefighter knew something wasn’t right, and headed to Oviedo ER with his fiancé. When he arrived, the nurse at triage immediately recognized something was wrong. As they began running tests, Danny went into cardiac arrest and required seven minutes of CPR to save his life. Danny was transported to the Cath Lab at Central Florida Regional Hospital where doctors were able to reopen the completely blocked artery and restore blood flow to his heart.
Danny’s ten-year-old daughter, McKenzie, was kept in the dark at first about her dad’s heart attack. But now that she understands how sick he was, McKenzie, looks out for her dad. Now, with his second child on the way, Danny is thankful to be alive, and is dedicated to his recovery.
"Central Florida Regional Hospital did everything perfectly," Danny explained. "They saved my life."
