Married for 48 years and with 6 grandchildren, Pete Kwiatkowski was enjoying retirement by building a home, woodworking and spending time with his family. But in April of 2015, while doing yard work, he experienced pressure and pain from his lower chest up to his throat and down his right arm.
Pete went to the Lake City Medical Center and met Dr. Kerensky. In the Cath Lab, Pete was diagnosed with a blocked artery and received a stent. In April of 2016, he had to have two more stents.
Due to major surgeries, Pete was unable to tolerate normal statin drugs to keep cholesterol levels low. Dr. Kerensky and Pete’s primary doctor, Dr. Strauss, helped Pete get approved for a new injectable cholesterol drug. Now, Pete’s cholesterol levels are fine and he is doing great.
"My outlook was bleak until Dr. Kerensky and his staff in the Lake City Medical Center cared for me. Now, I have no fear of April 2017 rolling around."
